Prison training
Vocational training in Prison environments is a new challenge for Computers for Charities. Currently estimates suggest 43% of offenders fall below literacy levels, providing a barrier to future appropriate employment.
I.T repair and refurbishment is a practical program, enabling offenders to develop practical skills and future accreditation through a planned modular curriculum.
Currently several Prisons have adopted this program providing benefits to offenders and Computers for Charities with the preparation of donated equipment.
The I.T repair and refurbishment course when finalised can also be extended for Western and Developing countries.
